Job summary

PIRTEK is seeking a Field Service Mechanic in Chicago, IL to replace hydraulic hoses, tubes and adaptors on customer equipment at their sites. You will build and maintain customer relationships, determine hose needs, and perform on-site repairs and fabrications as required.

Starting pay is $35 to $41 per hour with commission/bonuses, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental/vision, retirement funding, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with heavy equipment preferred.
• At least 1 year in mechanical repair or assembly.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Own hand tools required.

Responsibilities

• Replace hydraulic hoses, tubes and adaptors on customer equipment at the site.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and identify customer needs.
• Explain repairs and services to customers and ensure proper hose replacement and fabrication when needed.

Job Description

Pirtek Hydraulic Hose Field Technicians replace hydraulic hoses, tube and adaptors on equipment at the Customers' site. Our technicians build and maintain customer relationships which includes determining the cause of leaks, replacing hoses, visiting the customers' shop to determine their needs, and explaining what we do to potential customers.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Heavy Equipment mechanical experience desired
• At least one year experience in a trade involving mechanical repair or assembly
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Ability to park commercial van near your home
• Own hand tools
