Job summary

CSI Testing, a Scientific Safety Alliance Company, seeks a Field Service Manager to lead field technicians across Minnesota and the region, balancing office oversight with on-site client work to maintain strict controlled environments. You’ll ensure ISO 14644 and USP 797/800 compliance, review reports for accuracy, mentor technicians, and coordinate field deployments.

A strong background in cleanroom certification and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cleanroom certification or environmental monitoring.
• Regulatory knowledge of ISO, CETA and related standards.
• Strong leadership and field-team management experience.
• Detail-oriented with a zero-error documentation mindset.
• Willingness to mobilize into the field when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the field service team: daily deployment, attendance, and on-site conduct with calibrated equipment.
• Own quality & compliance: approve certification reports and ensure testing aligns with standards.
• Serve as technical lead for emergency service calls and complex rechecks on-site.
• Develop the team: onboarding for new technicians and ongoing development for senior staff.
• Audit the field: verify SOP adherence and defensible test results.
• Partner with clients: lead meetings and audits, articulate results clearly.
• Drive improvements: champion process improvements across the company.

CSI Testing: Plymouth, MN (Field & Office)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000 - $110,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift (with occasional emergency response)

What You’ll Do

• Lead the field team: Manage the daily deployment, attendance, and on-site conduct of field service technicians, ensuring they arrive prepared with calibrated equipment and a firm grasp of site-specific protocols.
• Own quality & compliance: Review and approve certification reports for accuracy, and ensure all testing is performed strictly to ISO 14644, USP 797, USP 800, and other applicable standards.
• Be the go-to for the tough calls: Act as primary technical lead for emergency service calls and critical rechecks - troubleshooting and resolving complex compliance issues or failed tests on-site.
• Develop the team: Lead onboarding and training for new technicians and ongoing development for senior staff, turning junior techs into subject matter experts.
• Audit the field: Conduct regular field audits to verify technicians follow SOPs and produce accurate, defensible test results.
• Partner with clients: Serve as the technical lead during client meetings and audits, explaining results clearly and building trust.
• Drive improvement: Champion top-down and bottom-up improvements across the company.

What We’re Looking For

• Industry expertise: 5+ years in cleanroom certification or environmental monitoring.
• Regulatory knowledge: Deep familiarity with ISO, CETA, and other bodies governing controlled-environment regulations.
• Leadership: Proven experience managing a field-based team, including performance tracking and conflict resolution.
• Detail orientation: A "zero-error" mindset toward documentation and data integrity.
• Hands-on flexibility: Willingness to mobilize into the field when technicians are unavailable, so clients maintain uninterrupted compliance. Valid driver's license required.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Your time splits between the office and client sites, balancing administrative oversight with direct field involvement. You'll need high adaptability and the readiness to step in on-site whenever compliance is on the line.
