Field Service Manager – Industrial Equipment Service Operations

Location: Houston/San Antonio, TX | Travel: 10%

Industry: Material Handling / Industrial Services

We’re seeking an experienced Field Service Manager to lead our field service operations throughout our South Texas territory. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient deployment of field technicians and seamless project execution for preventive maintenance and repair services.

Scope & Purpose

As the Field Service Manager, you will oversee a team of up to 20 field service technicians and administrative staff. Your primary responsibility is to manage personnel deployment, resource planning, customer interactions, and project execution to meet service expectations and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign qualified technicians to service projects based on customer needs
• Manage scheduling, workload balancing, and labor resource planning
• Generate accurate service quotes and job schedules, including overtime and multi-shift work
• Ensure timely communication and follow-up with customers post-service
• Produce weekly management reports and monthly service budgets
• Oversee safety compliance: technician training and PPE availability
• Identify opportunities for additional service work in collaboration with sales
• Travel 10% between Houston and San Antonio to support field teams and customer sites
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in field service management
• Hands-on background in electrical and mechanical systems (degree not required)
• Proven experience reading blueprints and managing complex job schedules
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with material handling equipment and electrical control systems preferred
  
  
  

Education (Preferred but Not Required): Degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or related field
