Job summary

Flow Control Group is seeking a hands-on Field Technician to learn and assist with plastic fabrication, install and repair industrial process systems, and support chemical piping, electrical work, and welding across New England.

The ideal candidate has experience in industrial environments, can read drawings, troubleshoot equipment, and travel regionally. A valid driver’s license and safety credentials are required, with weekend/overnight flexibility as needed.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in industrial or process environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge in chemical process piping, industrial electrical systems, metal welding and fabrication, plastic welding and fabrication, or industrial water/wastewater treatment systems.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills for job reporting and communication.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical documents.
  • Valid driver’s license and required health/medical card.
  • Willingness to travel throughout New England; flexibility for weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight jobs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with plastic fabrication; install, maintain, and repair industrial process systems.
  • Assist with chemical process piping and electrical system repairs.
  • Perform metal and plastic fabrication and welding (PVC, CPVC, PP, PVDF, stainless steel, carbon steel).
  • Read and work from drawings, schematics, and job specs.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and system issues.
  • Follow company standards, customer requirements, and safety procedures; work with field Supervisor and other technicians to complete jobs.
  • Travel to customer sites throughout New England; maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe job site.
