Job summary

Solventum is hiring a Field Service Lead in Plainview, NY to manage local service operations, train staff and coordinate delivery, maintenance, and support of medical device equipment for healthcare facilities. The role requires leadership in the absence of management and strong customer service focus.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years in customer-facing roles, one year in a team lead or supervisory capacity, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of customer facing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• One (1) year combined year of experience in a team lead and/or supervisory role in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Current, valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Serve as the service center designee, in the absence of service center management to assume responsibilities of the person in charge of the location.
• Oversight of local business operations to include metrics and required use of outside labor. This will also include daily disposition of work to other team members.
• Provides direction and training of other service center employees with respect to operational protocols and processes.
• Execute customer training on products and processes
• Performs and records inventory counts and reconciliation on assets, parts, disposables, and supplies per company procedures.
• Supporting customers to include patients and hospital staff on a regular basis, providing superior customer service with customer centric solutions.
• Utilizes computer or other company issued electronic equipment to timely execute transactions and to accurately capture transactional data for company record keeping.
• Preparing medical device equipment (cleaning and disinfecting), disposables, and documentation processing for delivery.
• Many locations also utilize 3rd party shippers (UPS, FedEx, etc…). The employee will assist & prepare outgoing items as well as receive incoming items daily.
• Expect to spend up to 10% of each day on the road in a company vehicle within the assigned geographic areas in support of customers and patients.
• Ensures and maintains a clean and safe working environment.

This position is responsible for providing leadership in a service location and the training of employees and customers associated with their location. Responsibilities include administrative duties (i.e., performing and assisting in maintaining inventory of products, parts, disposables, and supplies), serving the needs of our healthcare clients, inclusive of the delivery, pickup and maintenance of cutting-edge medical device equipment, and serving as the service center designee.

Company Vehicle

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position.

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Five (5) years of customer facing experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
• One (1) year combined year of experience in a team lead and/or supervisory role in a private, public, government, or military environment
• Current, valid Driver’s License

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Ability to work non-traditional work schedule, which may include extended hours including evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call duties
• Maintain physical requirements of the position through fitness testing as required in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Experience navigating customer escalations with a solution-based approach
• Experience with prioritizing customer urgent activities and resolving issues onsite
• Ability to lead, mentor and motivate direct reports of all experience levels
• Desire to be part of a team and have self-initiative to work independently
• Excellent follow up/follow through
