Job summary

Jimco Maintenance, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Compactor Maintenance Technician/Truck Leader to service supermarket facilities across Northern and Central Florida and coastal Georgia.

This role operates as a single-person crew, combining mechanical service work with responsibility for a dedicated service truck and territory. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work independently in outdoor retail environments.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with experience performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs on industrial or retail equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and complete field-ready repairs.
• Comfortable working outdoors behind store locations in varying weather conditions.
• Must reside within 25 miles of Gainesville, FL (truck parking location).
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, background check, and federal Social Security verification.

Responsibilities

• Service supermarket facilities across Northern and Central Florida and coastal Georgia.
• Operate and maintain a dedicated service truck as a single-person crew.
• Accurately record all time worked, including production, vehicle maintenance, and administrative tasks.
• Coordinate travel and scheduling with the corporate office.
