ROLE PRIORITY AND FLEXIBILITY EXPECTATION: This is a dual-responsibility position. Field Service Installer duties are the primary responsibility and take priority based on customer installation and service demand. During periods when field installation or service work is not scheduled or demand is lower, the employee will be assigned to support plant operations as a Production Associate. Candidates must be willing and able to move between both areas of responsibility based on business needs.

SUMMARY: The Field Service Installer is responsible for performing the installation, replacement, and servicing of filtration equipment and related components at customer locations. This position works as part of a field service team and may perform work in cleanroom and other controlled environments where strict contamination-control and safety requirements must be followed.

The role requires significant physical activity, including lifting equipment and materials, climbing ladders and stairs, and working in tight or congested spaces.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position:

• Install, replace, remove, and service filters and related equipment at customer job sites.
• Safely handle and lift filters, tools, ladders, equipment, and parts weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Climb stairs and ladders as required to access work areas.
• Perform work in tight, confined, or congested work areas where movement may be restricted.
• Work in cleanroom and controlled environments while following all applicable contamination-control requirements.
• Wear required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment, which may include:
  • Hooded cleanroom coveralls or full “bunny suit”
  • Face mask
  • Safety glasses
  • Two layers of gloves
  • Dedicated cleanroom boots or footwear
• Comply with cleanroom restrictions, including requirements prohibiting items such as makeup, perfume, hairspray, and jewelry when they could introduce particles or contaminants into the environment.
• Follow customer-specific site requirements, safety procedures, access requirements, and work rules while on customer premises.
• Strictly adhere to company and customer safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment practices.
• Work cooperatively with other installers, technicians, supervisors, customers, and contractors to complete assignments safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and assigned work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Promptly report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, incidents, or other concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Represent the company professionally while working at customer facilities.

Physical Requirements: The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Frequently lift and carry materials, tools, equipment, filters, and parts weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Climb and descend stairs and ladders.
• Stand and walk for extended periods during field assignments.
• Bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, and work in physically restricted or congested spaces.
• Use hands and arms to handle tools, equipment, filters, and other materials.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and cleanroom garments for the duration required by the work assignment.
• Perform physical work while wearing full cleanroom garments, including a hooded coverall, face mask, safety glasses, gloves, and dedicated footwear.

Cleanroom Requirements: Some customer assignments require work in highly controlled cleanroom environments. Employees assigned to these locations must:

• Follow all customer cleanroom entry, gowning, contamination-control, and safety requirements.
• Wear all required cleanroom garments and PPE.
• Be able to perform the essential physical duties of the position while fully gowned.
• Comply with restrictions concerning cosmetics, fragrances, hairspray, jewelry, and other items prohibited by the customer or cleanroom protocol.
• Maintain appropriate cleanroom behavior and avoid activities that could introduce contaminants into the controlled environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to safely perform physically demanding field installation work.
• Ability and willingness to work in cleanroom environments while wearing required protective garments and PPE.
• Valid Arizona State Driver’s License that complies with our auto insurance policy standards is required.
• May have to use personal vehicle to travel to customer site. Mileage will be reimbursed in this circumstance.
• Ability to follow detailed safety, customer-site, and contamination-control procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to follow instructions.
• Professional demeanor when interacting with customers and other personnel at customer facilities.
• Ability to recognize and report unsafe conditions or situations.

Schedule and Additional Requirements

• Ability to adjust between field assignments and plant production work based on customer demand and business needs.

• Daily or weekly overtime availability may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is a field-based position performed primarily at customer locations. Working conditions will vary by site and may include cleanrooms, industrial environments, mechanical areas, stairs, ladders, restricted-access areas, and congested workspaces. Employees must be able and willing to comply with the specific safety, security, PPE, dress, and contamination-control requirements established for each assigned customer location.
