Job summary

Munters is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician for Data Center cooling systems. This role involves traveling nationwide to install, start up, commission, troubleshoot, and repair advanced data center equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control issues while delivering customer training and support. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in HVAC/mechanical work, universal refrigeration certification, and strong safety and PLC/control knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HVAC/mechanical experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Refrigeration troubleshooting: pressure testing, evacuation, charging.
• Universal Refrigeration Certification/Card required.
• Electrical troubleshooting and controls/PLC experience.
• Read electrical diagrams and diagnose system issues.
• Experience brazing/soldering; Arc Flash/Lockout/Tagout/PPE knowledge.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Self-motivated and independent work style.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
• State Master HVAC license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Start up, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and service Munters Data Center equipment.
• Travel to customer sites across the U.S. - up to 90% travel by plane/vehicle.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Perform warranty and billable service work.
• Provide customer training and technical support.
• Document service activities and prepare field reports.
• Collaborate with Sales Project Managers, Service Managers, and Tech Support.
• Participate in on-call rotations and occasional weekends/holidays.
