Job summary

Block Imaging is seeking a skilled field service technician to deliver high-quality technical support for medical imaging equipment, including X-ray systems. The role involves installation, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance across hospital and clinic sites in the Reading area.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure OEM specifications and safety standards are met while working independently in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 1–7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent.
• Preferred field service experience with medical imaging equipment (X-ray, mobile/portable X-ray/C-arm, Rad rooms).
• Travel to hospital/clinic sites; frequent driving 30%+; must meet driver eligibility.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied environments.

This role is responsible for delivering high-quality technical service and support to medical imaging customers. The technician will install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and maintain medical imaging equipment (X-ray) to ensure optimal performance and compliance with all operational and safety standards. Working independently in the field, this position diagnoses and resolves technical issues while adhering to OEM specifications, industry regulations, and company quality requirements. Through expert problem-solving and customer-focused service, this role helps ensure reliable imaging performance for healthcare partners.

This role requires daily travel to hospital/clinic sites in the Reading, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Berks County area - this territory is considered the \"Southeastern Pennsylvania / Greater Philadelphia region\".

Essential Job Duties

• Driving and vehicle operation are essential functions of this role.

Travel Requirements

Frequent driving 30%+, Load, transport, deliver parts/equipment. Meet driver eligibility requirements. Minimum age 21, refer to company vehicle policy.

This role may involve
