Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer supports Beckman Coulter Diagnostics by troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, and repairing laboratory equipment, directly impacting patient health. This remote role covers the Middle Carolina region, including Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment, providing excellent customer service and technical training.
2. Maintain accurate service logs, order parts, and utilize systems like OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service planning and reporting.
3. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and assist in training new engineers.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree preferred in technical, biomedical, electrical engineering, or related fields, or equivalent military experience.
• At least 1 year of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical equipment; senior engineers are encouraged to apply for higher level roles.

Travel & Physical Requirements

• Travel up to 80% within the territory, including occasional overnight stays.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical college background in biomed or engineering.
• Over 2 years of experience in troubleshooting, installation, and service repair.
• Experience building positive relationships with stakeholders and supporting customer satisfaction.
