Overview

Do you like travel and have a background in "hands-on" Mechanical Engineering? The Field Service Engineer role with OST Services (a subsidiary of LISEGA, Inc.) involves working at non-nuclear and nuclear facilities across North America with some international travel. Depending on workload and interest, the position could be full-time or seasonal (part-time). This role has fully paid travel expenses and per diem. Pay rate is targeted between $50 and $60 per hour plus per diem when traveling.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate piping/support systems.
  • Prepare technical reports detailing inspection results, subsequent recommendations and conclusions.
  • Supervise adjustments, installation and repair of the above as required.
  • Familiar with the application and design of pipe supports.
  • Perform limited activities to generate and maintain customers.
  • Order and expedite materials, interface with manufacturing facilities, and communicate with customers to ensure delivery and contract commitments are met.
  • Develop and implement design and fabrication procedures.
  • Guide and/or perform hydraulic snubber testing and rebuilding.
  • Provide on- and off-site assistance in troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of piping materials and various nondestructive testing techniques.
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent mechanical experience.
  • Five plus years of experience with pipe support and restraint products.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Computer literate.
Physical & Mental Demands
  • Reading, writing, and detailing (rough) calculations.
  • Ability to perform lifting, climbing, stooping.
  • Visual acuity.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Travel to specific jobsites within the US and abroad.
  • Ability to react to customer urgency in times of emergency.
  • Work professionally with co-workers and customers.
