Job summary

Elekta in Mobile, Alabama is seeking an Associate Field Service Engineer to support maintenance and repair of radiation therapy equipment. This full-time role performs diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and system checks to keep devices operating safely and efficiently.

You will communicate service updates to clinical teams, document work, and collaborate with internal groups to improve service processes.

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering, electronics, biomedical technology, or a related field, or equivalent military/technical training.
Experience providing field service on complex medical or technical equipment with diagnostics and maintenance.
Ability to read technical documentation, use test instruments, and communicate clearly to non-technical users.
Willingness to travel locally or regionally for service assignments and work in clinical environments.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot equipment issues.
Coordinate repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Conduct preventive maintenance, calibrations, and system checks.
Provide technical support to clinical teams and document all work performed.
