Field Service Engineer - Industrial Machinery (33760)

A global industrial machine and parts distributor serving the automotive industry is seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Florence, KY area. The ideal candidate will have work experience with the automotive or robotics manufacturing industry as well as traveling to client locations to provide preventive maintenance and technical support. This is a full-time, direct-hire position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Provide preventive maintenance and conduct routine equipment servicing at client sites.
• Read blueprints, diagnose and troubleshoot machine tools.
• Programming PLCs and developing stable and repeatable set-ups on machines.
• Perform inspections on manufactured parts, diagnose and provide troubleshooting.
• Analyze measurement data obtained from machines, interpret results and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with CMMs is required.
• At least 2 years of robotics / PLCs maintenance experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time (mostly in the Midwest region).
• Technical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, such as Industrial, Manufacturing, Metal Working, or Automotive industry is a plus.
• Able to use hand measuring tools.
• Familiarity with press machine equipment, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems is a plus.

This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
