Environmental Conditions

Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, loud noises from equipment/machinery, and some PPE (personal protective equipment) such as safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc., are required.

The Chemical Analysis Division (CAD) provides analytical instruments and services for diverse markets, including safety & security, environmental, food safety, life sciences, medical, energy, spectroscopy, and minerals & mining. CAD operates globally with over 4,000 colleagues, delivering reliable, adaptable solutions to customers worldwide.

Position Overview

This role supports the Bulk Elemental Analysis business unit, helping customers accelerate production, improve quality, make faster decisions, and protect their brands. The position involves providing services on spectroscopy instruments, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of OES, XRF, and XRD systems.
  2. Manage service calls and control parts inventory using customer management software.
  3. Inspect malfunctioning products, analyze issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Maintain communication between customers and the company to ensure effective service.
  5. Develop and conduct training on equipment operation and safety.
Minimum Education & Experience

High school diploma with 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Service Engineer working with analytical instrumentation, or a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Engineering, or related field with 5 years’ experience. Experience with OES, XRF, and XRD is a strong plus.

Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Up to 70% travel within the territory and nationwide as needed.

  • Environmental conditions include travel, noise, hazards, and varied customer locations.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
