Job summary

Applied Materials is hiring a Field Service Engineer II (C2) in Malta, NY. You will install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment at global sites, delivering world-class support for multimillion-dollar systems.

The role requires an associate degree or military technical training, 2–4 years of semiconductor equipment experience, and ability to read schematics. Travel and varied shifts are involved; visa not required for US candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or military technical training, or certification equivalent to an Associates Degree.
• 2–4 years of work experience in semiconductor or equipment support industry.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers with installing equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and upgrading systems.
• Follow training materials and task plans to test equipment and diagnose issues.
• Complete required job documentation, safety training and procedures.
• Represent Applied Materials professionally to customers with a customer-first mindset.
• Meet on-site requirements including safety and COVID-19 guidelines.
