Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Field Service Expert (FSE) to support the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) team in Huntsville, AL. The role involves field service engineering, system integration, and technical support for IBCS deployments with occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel.

The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance, IAT Level II certification, Linux expertise, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Two-year OCOnus assignment is planned in the future.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and nine years’ experience; six additional years may be accepted in lieu.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship required.
• IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE) within 180 days of hire.
• Experience with tactical networks and troubleshooting; Linux experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for maintaining and sustaining fielded IBCS systems, equipment, and software at all identified locations.
• Represent the IBCS program as the primary point of contact for customers and stakeholders.
• Integrate and maintain systems running Red Hat Enterprise Linux and integrate COTS/GOTS with IBCS.
• Assist in emplacement and initialization of the IBCS system and conduct training.
• Support program help desk and conduct scheduled equipment inventories.
