Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Performs preventative maintenance as directed.
2. Performs unscheduled maintenance work with the assistance of technical support.
3. Works independently on preventative maintenance work, but typically requires assistance on unscheduled maintenance work.
4. Performs installations and de-installations of products and a wide variety of peripheral equipment as directed with some assistance.
5. Maintains excellent working relations with field personnel, home office personnel, and management.
6. Maintains timely and effective communications with the management team to escalate issues and customer concerns.
7. Performs administrative duties associated with the job, including electronic expense reports, weekly timecards, electronic reporting functions such as work orders, service appointments, start times, parts inventory, consumption and returns, assigned computer-based training, and QA/RA work.
8. Keeps up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service orders and internal service records per Fujifilm policies.
9. Maintains daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
10. Utilizes the escalation process to resolve customer service delivery issues and conducts root cause analysis that will lead to effective problem-solving.
11. Ensures that all administrative duties and paperwork are completed neatly, accurately, and submitted promptly.
12. Must be prepared to work odd hours and overtime hours on occasion and travel as required.
13. Promotes service contract and extended warranty to billable customers and current customers under service contract for renewal as directed.
14. Responsible for maintaining exceptional customer relations.
15. Responsible for maintenance of assigned tools/test equipment and spare parts.
16. Responsible for returning parts in the required time frame.
17. Responsible for promoting, both internally to the company and externally, the image and reputation of HCUS.
18. Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with business strategy, sales, marketing, clinical application support, operation, accounting, finance, and other related divisions to support successful ultrasound business.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.
20. Complies with all applicable U.S. Food and Drug Administration (U.S. FDA) medical device regulatory requirements, applicable ISO 13485 standard requirements, and all other applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
21. Complies with and passes all requirements for vendor credentialing as part of gaining access to hospitals and facilities to perform assigned job duties.

Qualifications

1. Associate's degree in electrical engineering, electronics or computer science discipline, or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum one year of previous field service experience.
3. Knowledge of assigned equipment to provide timely repair and effective maintenance.
4. Requires active listening skills and above-average customer service skills.
5. Requires sound organization and administrative skills, self-starter a must along with the ability to maintain paperwork to FDA and company required standards.
6. Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues in an easy-to-understand manner.
7. Capable of operating test equipment related to the job (oscilloscope, meter, diagnostic testers, etc.).
8. Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Physical Requirements

This position typically works in usual medical and clinical working environments, including sites under construction. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

1. Standing/Walking: This activity occurs frequently and prolonged/repetitively, including when driving to customer sites and/or flying.
2. Lifting/Carrying: This activity occurs infrequently and periodically with light hand tools, a tool bag, cabinet covers weighing from 1-20 lbs., diagnostic test equipment which weighs from 5-60 lbs., fluid testing container weighing 30 lbs., and replacement components which may weigh from 1-40 lbs.
3. Kneeling/Crawling/Crouching: This activity occurs occasionally and periodically/prolonged, primarily in the wiring process as well as accessing the lower panels of the US products.
4. Twisting: This activity occurs rarely and periodically in the lower back.

Additional Requirements

1. Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
2. Must possess good interpersonal skills.
3. Must be reliable and able to work independently.
4. Must project a professional image.

Travel

• Up to 100% based on business needs. May include overnight and air travel.
