Segra in Altoona/Johnstown PA is seeking a qualified Field Service Engineer for full-time work onsite. The role focuses on installation, commissioning, turn-up and testing of transport and IP data networks, plus routine preventive maintenance and on-call support for customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on telecom equipment experience (Cisco/Ciena preferred), at least 2 years in the field, and the ability to read engineering docs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecom equipment (Cisco, Ciena, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with telecom equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecom equipment and circuits.
• Turn-up, testing, and troubleshooting of transport and IP networks.
• Provide on-call support and customer interaction as needed.
