Job description

Field Service Engineer I/II

Houston, Texas - Remote

Summary:

The Field Service Engineer I/II will be responsible for visiting customer sites to install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair flow cytometers and Cytek Upgrade products with proficiency in a timely manner.
  • Work professionally and courteously with Cytek's customers to support Cytek's reputation for service excellence.
  • Identify customer needs and contribute to product improvements.
  • Manage daily schedules to prioritize urgent customer needs and set appropriate expectations for less urgent issues.
  • Provide customer support via telephone, schedule service visits, gather problem information, isolate faults, execute corrective actions, and close site visits efficiently and with high quality.
  • Complete all business transactions promptly and accurately, including Field Service Reports, Instrument Qualification Reports, Parts Return Tags, and Travel Expenses.
  • Manage personal spare parts inventory to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or technical Military service preferred.
  • Previous experience in Flow Cytometry in a lab setting is a plus but not required.
  • Previous experience in Flow Cytometry Repair is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of biology related to flow cytometry.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position is full-time, with hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend work as needed. The individual must be able to travel via commercial airlines, train, or rental/leased car. Physical requirements include lifting 25 lbs and standing for up to 4 hours.
