Location: Remote - can be based out of AZ, OR, ID, OH, TX or NY.

Pay: $38.00 - $43.00 per hour, DOE

We are seeking Field Service Engineers to support nationwide customers.

*Must be willing to travel to Japan 1-3 months after hire date to participate in a 2-year training program.*

The Mission of a Field Service Engineer is to install, modify, and service complex semiconductor industry high vacuum equipment and systems, as well as evaluate, troubleshoot, and resolve design issues related to such installations and servicing of Company products at all types of customer field sites. The role also involves providing a wide range of basic-to-advanced technical assistance to customers and colleagues to ensure successful completion of work and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the engineer will ensure business operations align with company goals.

What you'll do

  • Perform hands-on field service duties at customer sites, including on-site installation of systems, upgrades, retrofits, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electronic and mechanical systems. Provide operational, maintenance, and proper use training to customers and colleagues.
  • Recommend equipment modifications or improvements to enhance operation and performance.
  • Submit all necessary documentation promptly, including timesheets, expense reports, and service reports, adhering to company policies.
  • Maintain technical proficiency in troubleshooting electronic, electrical, pneumatic, mechanical, drive mechanisms, and software systems. Participate in ongoing education as required.
  • Contribute to training less experienced field service engineers.
  • Handle customer service issues to maintain high satisfaction levels, including managing orders, complaints, and service follow-ups.
