A leading energy technology company is looking for a Generator Controls Field Service Engineer to join their team. This role involves supporting retrofit projects, managing customer services during and after installations, and requires significant travel across North America. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Automation or Electronic Engineering and 3-5 years of relevant experience. The Generator Controls Field Service Engineer (FSE) will participate as a Regional Service Team member. This role is responsible for providing the best services care for our customers across North America. We are a Regional Service organization within the GE Vernova Gas Power, Control Solutions and Services organization headquartered in Colorado.
The Generator Controls FSE will manage all resources and logistics required to perform services and maintenance activities on customers' site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish sold or existing products. Includes all types of maintenance service (preventive and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering. The FSE is responsible for project specific operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. This role functions with some autonomy but is guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities
The base pay range for this position is $91,400 - $152,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.
The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
