Job summary

Hitachi Energy seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform complex field service operations, including installation, maintenance, and repairs, either on-site or remotely. You will troubleshoot equipment and resolve electrical and mechanical issues while supporting customer relationships and identifying additional business opportunities.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, a technical degree, and 5+ years in field service.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades.
• College or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical field service work with power/mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
• Current driver's license valid in the US and ability to work in the US.
• Ability to travel to the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
