Job summary

Hitachi Energy is hiring a Field Service Engineer in Colorado to perform complex field service operations on power systems equipment. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, testing, and on-site repairs, with travel to the US, Canada, and Mexico as needed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical field service, experience with high voltage gear and substations, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical field service with power/mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with substation construction and high voltage equipment.
• Ability to travel to US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Valid US driver’s license and work authorization in the US.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills.
• Deliver services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and prevent issues proactively.
• Lead field service projects and provide direction and analysis.
• Identify and develop potential sales opportunities with customers.

• Perform complex field service operations with strong technical skills.
• Deliver outstanding services remotely or on-site, including installation, maintenance, and repairs.

Your background

• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes.
• Trade education and experience in Industrial Mechanic and Electrical trades.
• College or university diploma/degree in a technical field (electrical or mechanical engineering) is an asset.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical field service work with power/mechanical equipment.
• Hands-on experience with substation construction, high voltage equipment, and electrical testing.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and test equipment software.
• Current driver's license valid in the US and ability to work in the US.
• Ability to travel to the US, Canada, and Mexico.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Pay Disclosure (Colorado Applicants Only):
The annual salary range for the Field Service Engineer (GCB) position is$107,700.00 to $134,600.00. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of what it expects to pay for this role in Colorado. The position may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, bonuses, and paid time off.
