Job summary

System One in Oklahoma is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Tech to provide solutions for burner equipment in the field with minimal supervision, ensure proper installation, startup and operation of combustion systems.

You will communicate professionally with plant managers, supervise and manage contractors on site, and create detailed field reports.

The ideal candidate has an engineering associate degree, can travel about 60%, and demonstrates strong written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or comparable field experience.
• Ability to travel a minimum of 60%.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage workflow and work crews while on the job site.
• Must possess technical and mechanical skills including reading mechanical and electrical drawings, piping utilities from P&IDs, instrumentation, welding, and electrical wiring.
• Must be able to troubleshoot independently and report back for assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions for burner or related equipment problems in the field with little supervision.
• Communicate professionally with plant managers, skilled labor, and internal team members.
• Supervise and manage contractors or other personnel on site.
• Manage workflow based on customer expectations while on site.
• Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure combustion systems are installed and operating correctly.
• Perform start-up, operation, and troubleshooting of all combustion systems and/or equipment.
• Create and submit detailed reports.
