Field Service Engineer - Chicago South Territory

Role Summary

The Field Service Engineer supports client needs, impacting patient health and well-being. This remote position in the Chicago, IL area reports to the Field Service Supervisor and involves troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair of Beckman Coulter equipment. Key Responsibilities

1. Perform troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Beckman Coulter equipment, providing excellent customer service and technical training.
2. Maintain accurate service logs, order parts, and utilize systems like OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service planning and team goals.
3. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and assisting in training new engineers.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree in a technical field (biomedical, electrical engineering, etc.) or military experience.
• At least 1 year of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, or instrumentation.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to travel within the assigned geography and occasionally overnight.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, twist, and perform extended periods of standing or sitting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 3 years of advanced troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Remisol, Beaker, software updates, and network architecture.
• Ability to develop positive customer relationships.
