Videojet Technologies, a Veralto company, seeks a Field Service Engineer to service and install in the Chicago region. You’ll travel to customer sites, diagnose issues, and ensure uptime of in-line printing and coding systems. A company vehicle, phone, and day-one benefits support your work and growth.

Based in Chicago or nearby, you’ll work from a home office with travel up to a 2-hour radius and initial training in Wood Dale. Safety and support are prioritized throughout.

Qualifications

• 2 years of technical experience repairing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing equipment.
• Able to travel, including occasional overnight travel with a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills including email and word processing.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing care and support for customer equipment.
• Install Videojet products and solutions at customer locations.
• Diagnose and resolve challenges and problems onsite.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with customers and promote service plans.

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the Field Service Engineer is responsible for you are the eyes and ears of Videojet when providing service and support through customer interactions. We are a close-knit team across many locations. With an office-based technical support team, our Field Service Engineers are never ‘on their own.

This position is based in Chicago, IL - Northwest Indiana or the surrounding areas and is fully remote. You’ll dispatch from your home office each day, traveling throughout the region in a company-provided vehicle. Overnight stays will be supported with company-approved accommodations. At every step, we prioritize your safety and comfort—ensuring you have the tools, resources, and support to perform your work confidently and securely.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Travel 100% within a 2-hour radius from Chicago, IL. There will be limited overnight travel.(initial training requires consecutive weeks in Wood Dale, including weekends)
• Provide ongoing care and support for our customer's equipment
• Install our products and solutions at customer locations
• Diagnose and resolve challenges and problems
• Become a trusted advisor and partner for our customers, to develop excellent relationships.
• Extend our Videojet footprint in the market by promoting our service agreements and newer technology.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel (initial training requires consecutive weeks in Wood Dale, including weekends)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $25.00 - $30.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
