Job Description
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of spectrophotometers and other devices at customer sites using proprietary diagnostic software. Your role involves extensive travel within the North East Region to meet customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair spectrophotometers and other devices at customer sites.
- Utilize diagnostic Spectro Auditor software for device maintenance.
- Travel intensively within the North East Region, with an average travel requirement of 90%.
- Engage with customers to identify potential needs and opportunities.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware issues related to connectivity, functioning, and performance of instruments and their components.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electronics, electrical systems, and hardware troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware.
- Experience with PCB design, hardware design, and PCB layout.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce preferred.
- Service-minded with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license.
Work Environment
This position requires frequent travel within the North East Region. When not traveling, you will spend 2 days in the office working alongside service technicians. The company offers a great benefits package, including 3 weeks of PTO, 7 sick days, and a 401(k) Retirement Plan with a company match after one year. The work environment is family-oriented with a low turnover rate and numerous projects in the pipeline for 2023.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
3 weeks PTO, including the week between Christmas and New Years. 7 sick days, 401(k) Retirement Plan after 1 month of hire. Company will match up to 6% of the first 100% contributed after 1 year of hire
