Arcfield in Middletown, RI is seeking an entry-level IT intern or early-career support specialist to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. You will assist the IT team with day-to-day end-user technology needs and desktop support.

Qualifications

• BS 0-2 years experience or HS 6-8 years experience.
• Pursuing or completed Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of Windows 10/11, desktop support, and common end-user issues.
• Familiar with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
• General networking fundamentals (Wi‑Fi, IP addresses, printers, basic connectivity).
• Interested in networking, Linux, infrastructure, or systems administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, follow IT procedures.
• Positive attitude with initiative on tasks and day-to-day IT support.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with end users and IT team members.
• Willingness to learn, take direction, ask questions, and follow established IT procedures.
• Positive attitude with the ability to take initiative on assigned tasks and contribute to day‑to‑day IT support activities.
• Comfortable assisting with hands‑on tasks such as equipment setup, workspace support, cable management, and minor facilities‑related support needs.

Compensation and Benefits

Equal Pay Act: This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
