ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics is seeking a Facility Services Engineer to support the IPF at Vandenberg SFB, CA. You will operate and maintain critical facility systems, perform preventative maintenance, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful spacecraft processing.

Roles include troubleshooting from diagrams and records, maintaining documentation, and occasionally supervising contractors.

Qualificações

• Associate degree or equivalent technical experience with several years in mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and work from SOPs, electrical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Experience around space hardware and clean room protocols.
• Ability to work independently within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to supervise contractors and vendors as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and maintain the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) for spacecraft processing.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and installations of facility systems (power, HVAC, fire detection, UPS).
• Troubleshoot equipment using drawings and schematics; document work orders and data.
• Set up test equipment and evaluate facility system performance under simulated conditions.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet customer requirements and provide technical interface during payload processing.

ASRC Federal Facilities Logistics, a subsidiary of ARS Federal, is seeking a Facility Services Engineer at Vandenberg SFB, CA.

Key Role:

Support the Spaceport Systems team at Vandenberg SFB by operating and maintaining the Integrated Processing Facility (IPF) for processing space hardware in preparation for launch. Perform preventative maintenance, repairs and installs for critical IPF systems including: facility control systems, power generation, fire detection, UPS, HVAC, and other electrical and mechanical systems.

• Perform operations, maintenance (preventative and emergency) repairs, and maintenance engineering that encompasses the critical facilities systems utilized during spacecraft processing
• Troubleshoot equipment utilizing mechanical drawings and electronic schematics
• Perform detailed and accurate record keeping, complete documentation including, logbooks, work orders, and purchase requisitions
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of critical facility systems under simulated operating conditions, record result and provide data/quality records at project reviews.
• Collect and provide analysis of technical data
• Collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet customer requirements
• Provide customer interface for technical issues during payload processing
• Handle materials, including operating a fork truck, and participate in critical spare part control
• Occasionally participate in on-call rotation and work extended hours when required
• Make recommendations for operational improvement for facility systems
• Follow Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures

Requirements

• Associate's degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field and 3+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repair, or H.S. diploma and 5+ years of experience in complex mechanical maintenance and repair
• Read, understand, and work from Standard Operating Procedures, electrical drawings, and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
• Experience working around space vehicle flight hardware, and clean room operations and protocols
• Ability to work independently within a cross-functional team
• Able to supervise contractors and vendors performing work in the facility as needed
• Capable of walking and moving around job site
• Active TS/SCI clearance (or ability to obtain)

• 6+ years of Integrated Processing Facility experience
• In depth knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Ability to multi-task and manage/accommodate multiple projects

• HVAC/Clean Room Systems
• Sewage and Water systems
• Electrical Systems
• Digital Control Systems
• Emergency Power systems
• Chill water systems
• Air handlers

• Un-Interruptible power supplies
• Reciprocating & centrifugal compressors
• Maintenance Management and Scheduling
• Inventory & spares
• Crane Operations and Protocols and sustainment
