A leading technology company based in Cincinnati is looking for a Field Service Controls Technician. The role involves supervising machine installations and startups at customer locations, performing troubleshooting, and preparing service reports. The ideal candidate should have a two-year college degree in electrical engineering and 2-3 years of relevant technical experience. This position requires extensive travel throughout North America and occasional international trips, making strong communication skills essential.

Exemption Classification: Hourly, Non-exempt
May assist in training of temporary/new employees.
Two-year College degree or Trade School Certificate in electrical engineering and/or 2-3 years of technical experience in manufacturing automation, material handling, and/or machine control. Must have product component level knowledge and program trouble shooting experience. Position requires multiple projects be handled at one time.
Communicate verbally and/or in writing with other employees, other departments, supervision and customer relating to work in progress, problems and/or completion. Must be able to present information to groups of employees, customers, vendors etc.
College-level mathematics.
Be able to identify work process problems and possible solutions.
Maintain local, regional and/or national memberships in appropriate professional organizations/associations.
Stand for prolonged periods of time on concrete floor. Will be required to kneel, squat, stoop, recline, climb, crawl, and/or bend on an as needed basis. Must be able to adjust visual focus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, over 50 lbs with assistance of a lifting device.
Traditional shop atmosphere. Subject to temperature variance based on season. Loud noise level. May be exposed to various fumes or smells based on job.
Occasional travel throughout North America to customer jobsite for startups, machine commissioning, and warranty work as dictated by project. Some International travel required. Average travel estimated at 65-75%.
