Job summary

Fameccanica North America seeks an entry-level Field Service Controls Engineer to join our West Chester, OH facility. This onsite role focuses on testing, validating, troubleshooting, and supporting automated manufacturing equipment.

You will learn Fameccanica systems with ongoing growth into field service and commissioning. You will work with conveyors, sensors, and electrical components, following procedures, documenting results, and gaining experience in PLCs, HMI, and controls.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or related training in Robotics, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a similar field.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Interest in PLCs, controls, robotics, automation, or manufacturing equipment.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in automation and field service.
• Ability to follow processes, complete documentation, and troubleshoot problems.
• Professional, calm, and customer-focused communication style.
• Ability to work independently once trained while also being a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Test and validate automated equipment, including conveyors, sensors, electrical components, and controls.
• Follow checklists and test procedures to confirm equipment is operating properly.
• Troubleshoot basic PLC, HMI, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues.
• Document testing results, service activity, and technical findings.
• Support equipment commissioning and customer requirements.
• Work alongside experienced engineers while learning Fameccanica systems.
• Eventually support customer sites as responsibilities grow.

Fameccanica North America is seeking an entry-level Field Service Controls Engineer to join its growing team. This is an onsite, hands‑on role focused on testing, validating, troubleshooting, and supporting automated manufacturing equipment.

In the beginning, this role will focus heavily on equipment testing and validation in Fameccanica's West Chester facility. The work will be repetitive by design and will involve following test procedures, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and helping ensure equipment is ready before shipment. As skills develop, this role may grow into customer‑site support, installation, commissioning, and field service responsibilities.

• Travel may increase over time as skills develop and responsibilities grow, potentially up to approximately 70%.
