GROB-WERKE GmbH & Co. KG in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Field Service Mechanical Technician responsible for supporting installations and service calls at customer sites.

Travel on short notice is required to reach GROB designated sites and perform mechanical build and start-up of machine tool equipment. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of metric prints, and experience with assembly technology or metal cutting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of drawings, schematics, and troubleshooting.
• NC programming experience preferred.
• Previous CNC machining or machine building experience preferred.
• Experience with assembly equipment and robotic cells preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and start-up CNC machines to GROB specifications.
• Assemble and start-up assembly equipment.
• Read and follow mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical prints/drawings.
• Read and follow tool layouts and NC code (G-code, M-functions).
• Respond to emergency calls from customers in a timely manner.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
