The Opening

We are currently seeking an Emergency Response Truck Driver to be based out of Salt Lake City, UT, to assist with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety by following PROS - Pause, Review, Observe, Start
• Perform non-emergency and emergency response activities involving biological and chemical materials
• Perform labor-intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift
• Work in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces, and at heights
• Operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, and pressure washers
• Be available for emergency response work after-hours and on weekends
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment
• Travel as required
• Maintain an excellent driving record

What does it take to work at Environmental Restoration?

• Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
• Minimum of a Class B CDL
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check, and physical exam
• Legally eligible to work in the United States (verified through E-Verify)
• Willingness to obtain OSHA (40 hour) Certification
• Ability to work on an on-call basis as needed
• Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear a respirator
• Regularly lift and carry 50 pounds
• Follow written and oral instructions effectively

Environmental experience, hazardous waste experience, and certifications (e.g., OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER), heavy equipment operation, and maintenance experience are a plus.
