Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is seeking a Field Services Calibration Technician in Tempe, AZ. The role involves hands-on calibration in the lab and managing customer calibration needs, coordinating items for in-lab or out-of-lab work, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Associates college degree or technical school preferred, or at least two years related experience.
  • Basic experience with calibration and/or measuring instrumentation.
  • Commercial or Military experience acceptable.
  • Basic mathematical skills including algebra, geometry, and statistics.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Provide calibration services (measurement, temperature, torque, pressure, etc.).
  • Identify appropriate measurement techniques and maintain calibration standards.
  • Perform calibration work in laboratory settings and schedule/send out items for calibration or repair.
  • Fulfill duties safely under company requirements and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The candidate will be responsible for providing calibration services in the lab as well as managing the calibration services for the customer.The Field Services Calibration Technician will work independently overseeing and managing the customer’s calibration needs. The candidate will be responsible for calibrating the customer’s assets as well as scheduling/sending out items the lab lacks capabilities for. A successful candidate should be a self-starter, have attention to detail, possess good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) as well as have computer competency.This is a full-time role with Applied Technical Services.
