Security Service Technician – Access Control CCTV Alarm

Langston Security & Integration is looking for a Director of Operations to join our growing team.

About Us:

Langston Security & Integration began its conception in January 2008. We are family-owned and operating at a mid-size level of business with a lean team that is efficient and known by name. Our offices are in Peoria, Arizona. We furnish and install high-quality low voltage security systems and audio-visual systems for commercial properties. We provide timely and efficient support while building long-lasting relationships.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Serves customers by servicing, troubleshooting and installing Burglar Alarm, CCTV, Access Control Systems and Audio/Video Systems, meeting customer needs and expectations. Essential functions consist of the following but are not limited to:

  • Installing low voltage security systems in primarily commercial environments, construction environments and some residential environments.
  • Troubleshooting and testing networking issues.
  • Assist with programming various systems directed by the Company.
  • Setup support structures (i.e. ladders, racks).
  • Terminating and installing end devices such as badge readers, mag locks, motion detectors, glass breaks, cameras, etc.
  • Installation and service of various Burglar Alarm systems directed by the Company.
  • Installation and service of various CCTV systems directed by the Company.
  • Installation and service of various Access Control Systems, including door hardware directed by the Company.
  • Installation and service of various Audio/Visual systems directed by the Company.
  • Pulling cables, wires, and other necessary preparation work to complete jobs.
  • Adaptable and trainable on various security systems, manufacturer specs, etc.
  • Document job notes according to the Company’s Work Order policy, meeting or exceeding expectations and standards.
  • Honest and thorough documentation of all paperwork is a requirement while maintaining Company Confidentiality policies and standards.
  • Maintain positive attendance in accordance with jobs that are scheduled to be completed.
  • Provide friendly, knowledgeable and respectful customer service.
  • General knowledge of electronics, components and devices.
  • Comply and follow all Safety Standards, Laws, and Regulations at all times.
  • Takes initiative by communicating with Operations Department and Management.
  • Memorize and commit to the Company Mission, Values and Vision.
  • Ability to work the on-call rotation.
  • Ability to work in various temperatures and working conditions.
  • Other assigned duties.

Skills/Qualifications/Work Conditions:

  • 2-5 years experience in security, CCTV and Access Control installation and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background and driver’s license (MVR) check.
  • Must obtain and keep current Arizona Alarm Agent License and any required Licenses required by law.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
  • Professional in appearance and presentation, abiding all Personal Protective Equipment standards and Company’s Uniform Policy.
  • Ability to be an effective team member through strong productivity skills while assisting team members.
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice and must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Maintain Company property in good working order while taking precautions to ensure safety and security of the property.
  • Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
  • Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling.
  • Frequent lifting and/or carry up to 65 pounds and push up to 100 pounds.
  • Will be exposed to inclement weather or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective equipment and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others.
  • Must be able to maintain visual acuity and alertness for long periods of time including long periods of driving a motor vehicle.
  • Provide your own basic hand tools per the Company standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Self-motivated and represents a professional image that is approachable.
  • Outgoing.
  • Willing to learn and grow with the company.
  • Certifications with Manufacturers in the security industry is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 Certification a plus.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full time position, hours vary depending on the scheduled work. Generally, Monday through Friday, some weekends may be required but not typical, no restrictions and flexibility to be scheduled to work.

PAY, BENEFITS & PERKS:

  • Hourly position and rate are based on experience. Experienced level starting at $27.00 per hour – position maxes out at $32.00 per hour with qualified, high-level skills.
  • Bi-weekly, direct deposit every other Friday.

LOCATION:

Shop is in Peoria with quick access to the 101, but ability to travel every day throughout the major Phoenix metropolitan area, with occasional traveling within other parts of Arizona and possibly out of state. We have active jobs all over the valley (North, West, South, East). Not scheduled in the shop every day but typically once a week for meetings and other tasks.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License and Reliable Source of Transportation.
  • Pass a background check with the Company and with the Arizona Board of Technical Registration (full fingerprint/clearance check required for this trade).
  • Pass a drug test.
  • Professional attire and follow company uniform policy.
  • Ability to obtain Arizona Alarm Agent License within first 90-days of employment.
  • Follow all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements per assigned job location. Safety is the #1 priority!
