Job summary

Loyal Source Government Services is seeking a Security Service Technician to support a U.S. Marshals Service security systems program in the Jacksonville, FL area.

The technician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, test, and upgrade electronic security systems across mission-critical facilities in the region. The role involves independent field work, regional travel, and responding to service calls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic security systems.
• Experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance/CCTV, Intrusion Detection, Intercom, and Low-Voltage Cabling.
• Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, operating lifts, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, test, repair, calibrate, modify, and maintain electronic security systems.
• Perform break-fix service and preventive maintenance on PACS, CCTV, IDS, intercoms, security consoles, door hardware/locking devices, detention locks, turnstiles, power supplies, cabling, and life-safety devices.
• Complete software and firmware upgrades on security equipment as required.
• Support emergency service calls and urgent troubleshooting.
• Assist with system installations, upgrades, replacements, and site assessments.
• Maintain service tickets, reports, inventory, and field logs; update records in work management systems.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer sites.
