Job summary

Optiq Health Labs is seeking a Field Sampling Technician to collect cannabis samples at client sites across Southern California. You will follow state regulations and company procedures to ensure accurate sample collection and documentation.

You will weigh samples, record weights, input data into the tracking system, and drive between client sites while maintaining confidentiality and delivering timely results with excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy required.
• Organized and punctual; reliable in field operations.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with email (Outlook).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or biology preferred.
• 0–1 years of laboratory experience.
• Experience in cannabis testing laboratory or cannabis industry.
• Knowledge of the Department of Cannabis Control regulations.
• Knowledge of METRC.
• Experience with Excel and group messenger apps.

Responsibilities

• Collect field samples at client sites according to regulations.
• Record batch numbers and transport manifest details.
• Maintain sample integrity and avoid contamination of samples.
• Weigh samples with a field balance and input data into tracking system.
• Drive to client sites and return samples to the laboratory across Southern California.
• Provide excellent customer service and build trust with clients.
• Work efficiently under time constraints.
• Maintain client confidentiality and follow safety procedures.
• Overtime is required most days.

Job description

Field Sampling Technician Responsibilities:

-Collect field samples of cannabis products at client sites in accordance with state regulations and company procedures

-Accurately record sample information, taking great care to accurately record batch numbers and all details required for transport manifests

-Follow detailed procedures to ensure cleanliness and avoid contamination of samples being collected. This is essentially a mobile laboratory position.

-Weigh samples with a field balance and record sample weights. Input data into company ordering and tracking system and double check for accuracy

-Drive to client sites and return samples to the laboratory all over Southern California

-Driving for multiple hours at a hours at a time

-Provide excellent customer service

-Build trust and rapport with clients

-Work efficiently and effectively under time constraints

-Maintain client confidentiality

-Follow safety procedures

Required Skills and Experience:
