Job summary

Accelcia Business Services is seeking a Field Sampling Technician to collect cannabis product samples at client sites in Southern California and transport them to the laboratory. You will record batch numbers, ensure cleanliness, and weigh samples with a field balance while entering data into the company tracking system.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential for field sampling and data recording.
• Organized, punctual and able to manage multiple client sites efficiently.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, with professional written/verbal ability.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and knowledge of cannabis industry regulations preferred.
• Must be 21+ with a valid CA driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Collect field samples of cannabis products at client sites per state regulations and procedures.
• Accurately record sample information, batch numbers, and transport manifest details.
• Maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination in a mobile laboratory setting.
• Weigh samples with a field balance and input data into tracking systems, verifying accuracy.
• Travel to client sites across Southern California and return samples to the laboratory.
• Provide excellent customer service and build trust with clients.
• Operate safely and follow all company safety procedures; confidentiality is required.
• Overtime is required most days.

Job description

Field Sampling Technician Responsibilities:

• Collect field samples of cannabis products at client sites in accordance with state regulations and company procedures
• Accurately record sample information, taking great care to accurately record batch numbers and all details required for transport manifests
• Follow detailed procedures to ensure cleanliness and avoid contamination of samples being collected. This is essentially a mobile laboratory position.
• Weigh samples with a field balance and record sample weights. Input data into company ordering and tracking system and double check for accuracy
• Drive to client sites and return samples to the laboratory all over Southern California
• Driving for multiple hours at a hours at a time
• Provide excellent customer service
• Build trust and rapport with clients
• Work efficiently and effectively under time constraints
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Follow safety procedures

Required Skills and Experience:

• 0-1 years of laboratory experience
• Experience in a cannabis testing laboratory or cannabis industry
• Knowledge of the Department of Cannabis Control regulations
• Knowledge of METRC
• Experience with various software including group messenger apps and Excel
