Overview

At IDEXX, we help veterinary professionals deliver better care through innovative diagnostics and technology. As a Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant, you’ll be a trusted advisor to clinics, building strong relationships and driving growth through tailored solutions.

This is a field-based role. Candidates should reside in or be willing to relocate to the Southern Minnesota Territory ( Which includes Mason City IA, Fort Dodge IA, Mankato MN).

What You’ll Do
  • Own and manage your territory to grow recurring diagnostic revenue and meet quarterly equipment sales targets.
  • Engage veterinary teams through consultative selling, product education, and business discussions.
  • Collaborate with regional sales colleagues to close capital equipment deals.
  • Train clinic staff on IDEXX products, services, and marketing initiatives.
  • Share customer insights and competitive trends with internal teams to improve service and strategy.
  • Represent IDEXX professionally at clinics, trade shows, and educational events.
  • Manage company resources and expenses in line with guidelines.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of successful territory business to business sales experience, ideally in veterinary, medical device, dental, or capital equipment sales.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working in a team-driven sales environment.
  • You can work well with others in a highly team oriented, collaborative, sales environment.
  • You can meet the requirements of a field sales role that include but are not limited to extensive car travel (company car provided), some travel overnight as needed as well as flexibility for potential weekend work (as needed) to attend tradeshows or other occasion meeting and are able to lift up to 60 pounds. Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • This is veterinary sales; you should be comfortable with going into veterinary clinic and hospital environments.
Compensation and benefits
  • Competitive Base Salary $85,000-95,000 based on experience
  • Lucrative quarterly commission structure.
