Position Overview

The Talent Search Group at Partner in Publishing is seeking a Field Sales Representative, Higher Education (Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Burbank, CA) for a leading publisher specializing in modern languages and ELL learning products and platforms.

The Field Sales Representative plays a vital role within the Higher Education team, promoting the company's print and digital language education products to new and existing accounts at colleges, universities, and programs within the territory.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business to meet sales quotas.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with education professionals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • Deliver engaging digital and live presentations.
  • Utilize CRM tools for territory analysis, planning, and account management.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in consultative sales, business development, or account management within ed-tech, language learning, or publishing industries.
  • Strong technological proficiency with experience in presentations and demonstrations, both in-person and virtual.
  • Excellent relationship-building, prospecting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience managing sales activities using CRM systems like Salesforce.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, French, or Italian.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 base plus sales bonus and car allowance.

Location and Travel

Must reside within the territory (Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Burbank, CA) and be willing to travel throughout the territory.
