Job summary

Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service in Chicago seeks Field Sales Representatives for the Water Restoration department. You will pursue sales opportunities, work with leads from technicians and call centers, and actively close deals with a flexible schedule.

The role offers unlimited earnings with an average of $75,000–$100,000 per year plus mileage reimbursement, a weekly base plus commission, and comprehensive benefits. Prior outside sales experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license and successful background check.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Knowledge of Water Restoration; plumbing experience not required.
• Outside sales experience is strongly desired; all outside sales experience considered.
• Maintains IICRC WRT and ASD certifications in Water Damage Restoration.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator and pass a respirator fit test.
• Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sell opportunities to mitigate water-related property damage to residential and commercial markets.
• Assess properties to determine moisture levels and need for demolition and drying.
• Follow up with existing customers to deliver effective water-related solutions.
• Provide quotes using established pricing and insurance guidelines; close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.

Field Sales Representative - Water Restoration

Roto-Rooter is currently seeking Field Sales Representatives for our Water Restoration department. Ideal candidates will actively pursue sales opportunities and qualified leads provided by field service technicians and call centers. Water Sales Responsibilities

• The primary function of this role is to identify and sell opportunities to mitigate property damage caused by water to the residential and commercial market.
• The Sales Representative will perform assessments of property to determine moisture levels and the need for demolition and drying to acceptable levels.
• Engage in proactive follow-up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water-related issues.
• Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options/solutions and effectively close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable background check per company standards.
• Demonstrated exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment while also being available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Plumbing experience is not necessary or required however, knowledge of Water Restoration and practices is required.
• Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality
• A Working knowledge of common software programs such as Word, Excel, etc. Other Roto-Rooter specific computer programs will also be used.
• Previous experience with outside sales of in-home services is strongly desired, but all outside sales experience will be considered
• Maintains IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD) certification in Water Damage Restoration.
• Must be medically cleared to wear a respirator and complete a respirator fit test.
