Roto-Rooter is seeking a Field Sales Representative for our Excavation department in Desert Hot Springs, CA. You will pursue pre-qualified leads from field technicians and call centers, outside sales, and grow with a leading company.

The role offers a $500 weekly salary during training, potential commissions on total sales after thresholds, mileage reimbursement, and a strong benefits package. Flexible work schedules support field-based engagement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and background check per company standards.
• Demonstrated exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Able to use handheld devices and software such as Word and Excel; familiarity with company systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication in English.
• Outside sales experience preferred for in-home services.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sell sewer line repair and replacement solutions for residential and commercial properties.
• Conduct camera assessments of sewer lines to determine root interruption or breakage for repair or replacement.
• Follow up with existing customers to deliver effective plumbing/water-related solutions.
• Provide quotes using pricing matrix and insurance guidelines and close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for customers.
• Extensive driving to customers and entering residences to provide trustworthy service.

Field Sales Representative - Excavation

Roto-Rooter is seeking Field Sales Representatives for our Excavation department. We offer an opportunity for sales professionals to pursue pre-qualified leads from our field service technicians and call centers. If you excel in outside sales and want to grow with a leading company, we want to hear from you!

This opportunity provides:

• Sales Representatives are paid a weekly salary of $500 during and after training. After training, they are eligible for 5% of total sales after $15,000 in weekly qualified sales and an additional 2% of total sales after$25,000 in qualified salesper week PLUS mileage reimbursement.
• All leads provided, no cold calls.

Responsibilities

Excavation Sales Responsibilities:

• Identify and sell sewer line repair and replacement solutions for residential and commercial properties.
• The Sales Representative will conduct camera assessments of sewer lines to determine if there is root interruption or breakage in the sewer line resulting in the need for repair or replacement.
• Engage in proactive follow-up communication with existing customers to deliver effective solutions for their plumbing or water-related issues.
• Leverage our established pricing matrix and/or insurance guidelines to provide competitive quotes for repair/replacement options/solutions and effectively close sales.
• Be a trusted information resource for Roto-Rooter customers.

Requirements

Excavation Sales Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and acceptable background check per company standards.
• Demonstrated exceptional focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment and have the ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Must be able to use handheld telecommunication devices and understand commercial software packages such as Word and Excel. You will also use Roto-Rooter computer systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Plumbing experience is not necessary or required.
• Organized self-starter with an outgoing personality.
• Strong preference for candidates with outside sales experience in in-home services; however, all outside sales backgrounds will be evaluated.
