Position Summary

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for managing the entire sales process—from generating leads and educating potential customers to converting prospects into long-term clients. This role involves developing and maintaining customer sales revenue, as well as fostering strong supplier relationships within an assigned geographical territory.

Position Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of High School education/GED; college degree is preferred.
  • Must be able to travel
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Possess and maintains valid auto liability insurance
Qualifications and Skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to set goals and sales targets to increase revenue.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite programs.
Experience Required

Duties / Responsibilities

In this role, responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers' representatives to support ongoing business growth. The position involves creating and presenting tailored product solutions to customers, as well as driving design registrations to align with both customer needs and supplier goals. Active participation in training sessions and business reviews is essential to enhance product knowledge and deliver added value. This role also requires proactive selling efforts, including cold calling and other proven outreach methods, to identify new business opportunities and grow existing accounts. Additional duties may be assigned to support broader sales and organizational objectives.

Physical Demands

This position is mostly sedentary 7.5 hours a day. Work is done in an office environment and requires ability to type for periods of time. There is occasional lifting of boxes up to 20 pounds. Most work is done using phone, computer or traveling to customer locations.
