Position Overview:
This role supports UNFI customers in Baltimore, offering:

• Commission Sales Plan; paid weekly.
• Mileage Reimbursement Plan; paid weekly.

Purpose:

Partner with assigned customers to ensure they have the right products at the right time in the right placement.

Essential Functions:

• Order products that meet customer needs and effectively display store products.
• Maintain effective business relationships with customers.
• Arrive promptly at customer locations on assigned routes.
• Rotate stock and remove out-of-code products.
• Process merchandise returns and issue credits per company policy.
• Ensure UNFI products are neat and orderly.
• Notify customers about products and deliveries.
• Assist with hanging shelf tags, promotional POS/POP materials, and resets.
• Sell promotional and sales programs as assigned.
• Follow HACCP and SQF policies and procedures as appropriate.
• Follow up on customer product requests.
• Keep management informed of activities and concerns.
• Attend meetings as required.
• Provide backup for other sales representatives when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

• Valid driver's license required.
• Auto insurance meeting UNFI requirements.

Experience:

• Prior customer service experience in retail.
• System implementation experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Time management and attention to detail.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good judgment, especially without immediate supervision.

Physical Environment/Demands:

• Daily travel with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times daily.
• Drive safely in various conditions.
• Set up displays, fixtures, shelving, and products.
• Tolerance to store and warehouse conditions, including temperature variances, dust, and dirt.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
