Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc is seeking experienced sales professionals to promote products and services, building relationships with new and existing accounts. The role may require non-traditional hours to meet customer needs and achieve sales goals.

You will develop new business, qualify prospects, and tailor solutions while staying informed about market trends and competitor activity. A strong emphasis on training, travel, and collaboration with teams is evident throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline, OR
• HSD/GED with 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent.
• Bi-Lingual is preferred; Restaurant Management or Chef experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and expand profitable sales.
• Qualify prospects following company account stratification goals.
• Research customer needs and tailor product/service mixes.
• Evaluate market trends and advise customers based on business goals.
• Know market conditions, product innovations, prices, and competition; share insights with customers.
• Answer questions about products, pricing, availability, and usage.
• Provide product training to customer personnel.
• Drive a personal vehicle to accounts, conventions, and meetings.
• Collect accounts receivable as needed, per approved terms.
• Manage deliveries per routing schedule and troubleshoot issues.
