Job description

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Manager, Field Sales position is to coach, lead, manage, develop, and train their teams to maximize retail value using a general manager mindset. They are responsible for ensuring the achievement of NIM sales, trade, share, and distribution objectives to drive HPT, Client Satisfaction, and develop future talent for the OpCos. Acts as the account point person responsible for key sales survey, distribution, and display information at store level (where applicable).

Location: Home office, must be based in Northeast US.

Primary Responsibilities:

Business Management:

  • Achieve all KPIs, must-win battles, and company initiatives.
  • Review the results of deployed activities to ensure expected results are achieved.
  • Partner with account team and SOM to identify store-level selling opportunities.
  • Conduct market manager/customer meetings as required.

People/Team Development:

  • Coach and develop direct team members to achieve all objectives.
  • Partner with HR to staff any open territories.
  • Promote workforce diversity and upward mobility among all team members to reflect Nestlé's consumer base.
  • Conduct work withs to provide coaching and observe individuals in market execution.
  • Lead People Development and Performance processes for each direct report.
  • Deliver results while adhering to Nestlé SHE compliance expectations.

Communication and Administration:

  • Manage expenses in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Communicate market observations to SOMs, account teams, and post on Workplace.
  • Partner with local deployer to make any territory adjustments.
  • Communicate with SOMs to address activity opportunities as needed.
  • Conduct area-level meetings with direct reports to review business results.

Position Requirements and Skills:

  • University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 3 years of related work experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to align the work of team members toward shared goals and across functions where needed.
  • Draw connections between facts, ideas, and situations.
  • Simplify complex issues into easily understood elements.
  • Respectfully communicate needs, even with those more senior.
  • Act as an ambassador for company change, even when unpopular, and communicate it with credibility.

Preferred Experience:

  • 3-5 years of retail sales experience consistently achieving or exceeding goals and KPIs.
  • Business analytics experience - Preferred 2-3 years.
  • Account management experience - Preferred 1-2 years.
  • Leadership experience - Preferred 1-2 years.

The approximate target compensation range for this role is $100K to $150K. Please note that the pay range provided is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on background, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
