What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Sales Executive, you will manage high-value reseller and service bureau accounts, utilizing your deep market knowledge and business acumen to drive revenue growth through an indirect selling channel. You will work closely with clients to identify strategic opportunities and negotiate high-value contracts. This role is primarily outside sales, requiring field engagement with clients. You will report to the Director, Sales – Tax Preparer, North America. Responsibilities include:

Key Tasks
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting key clients in the tax reseller market.
  • Drive revenue growth by securing new contracts and expanding existing accounts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value reseller and service bureau clients, mainly through in-person contact.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industry.
  • Negotiate contracts, prices, and service agreements in line with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence decisions and monitor client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and analyze client data to optimize strategies.
  • Lead strategic sales discussions with clients and internal teams.
  • Implement lead generation and marketing campaigns, providing feedback on their effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive developments.
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.
Other Duties
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with Salesforce pipeline management.
  • Communicate regularly with sales leadership.
Candidate Profile

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field, or 6+ years relevant sales experience.
  • 5+ years in B2B field sales, account management, or partner/channel sales.
  • Experience developing prospects, achieving quotas, and presenting to clients.
  • Knowledge of the Tax Preparation Industry Service Bureau or Reseller market.
Additional Skills & Certifications
  • Proficiency in consultative sales approaches.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Formal sales training (e.g., Challenger Sales, Miller Heiman).
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Flexibility to work a variable schedule.
Travel
  • Up to 60% travel for sales and industry events.

Applicants may need to appear onsite at Wolters Kluwer offices during recruitment.

Compensation

Salary range in CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $95,560 - $133,750. Role is eligible for commission.
