Summary

Responsible for generating order income and revenue from new and existing large and medium customers mainly through customer visits or industry events. Responsible for a region/area, portfolio, or a cluster of customers as defined in the sales plan.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Meet and exceed sales targets: generate order income and revenue from new and existing customers as defined in the sales plan.
  2. Develop and maintain a customer focus list with the Area Sales Manager, proposing focus customers and opportunities based on marketing leads, own opportunities, certificate expiry lists, and market knowledge.
  3. Identify solutions for customer needs, involving Subject Matter Experts if necessary.
  4. Generate new leads (e.g., at fairs) and convert sales leads from marketing or other channels.
  5. Conduct customer visits and attend industry events.
  6. Acquire new customers and maintain/grow loyalty through regular interactions.
  7. Upsell the service portfolio to existing customers and recover lost customers.
  8. Document all activities in relevant tools like Salesforce.com.
  9. Ensure on-time delivery, quality, and follow-up of quotations per customer needs.
  10. Negotiate quotations and contracts with customers collaboratively.
  11. Support cash collection of overdue invoices.
  12. Coordinate cross-functional inquiries and monitor market and competitors.
  13. Conduct sales analytics and participate in sales reviews.
  14. Assist in defining the yearly sales plan with the Area Sales Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency in English (B1 Intermediate), fluent in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience with MS Office and Salesforce.com.
  • Proven track record in consultative sales with technical comprehension in related fields.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in sales or related areas; 5-10 years in Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) or related fields is preferred.
Education
  • University Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience
  • Experience in TIC or related fields is advantageous.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Sedentary work, primarily at a computer in an office environment.

  • Laptop or Desktop Computer, Phone or Headset.
Travel Requirements
  • Driver’s license required; travel for client meetings.
