Responsibilities

As a Field Sales Executive for Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting, you will have primary responsibility for driving profitable sales growth within an assigned established account base of CPA firms. You will report to the Divisional Manager, Field Sales. Specific job responsibilities include:

  1. Learn the full line of Tax & Accounting products, including features, benefits, pricing, intended use, value proposition, and competitive position. Attend and engage in training programs for new hires, complete all self-study reading, exercises, and activities within the prescribed timeline.
  2. Learn and implement the sales process for Tax & Accounting products and services, staying informed of the prescribed sales process and meeting sales quotas.
  3. Manage an assigned account list to support a healthy sales pipeline: review target lists, organize customers by segment and opportunity, research contact information, build calling lists, make calls, and maintain information within Salesforce CRM following standards.
  4. Promote new account/customer development to meet sales goals: conduct prospecting calls, establish meetings, participate in industry events, and conduct presentations to generate interest.
  5. Grow existing customer business by maintaining contact, understanding needs, and conveying value of solutions.
  6. Contribute to new product development and issue resolution by identifying gaps, working with Product Managers, and managing client expectations.
  7. Increase market share within the territory by identifying opportunities, engaging at management and executive levels.
  8. Manage time and resources effectively, planning sales activities logically.
  9. Collaborate with colleagues on strategies and marketing information.
  10. Work with other sales personnel and managers to resolve account/channel conflicts.
  11. Develop an annual business plan based on pipeline predictions, updates, and forecasts. Participate in weekly communication with the Divisional Sales Manager.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or related field; or 6+ years of software/SaaS field sales experience without degree.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience with SaaS or software applications, including developing prospect lists, meeting/exceeding quotas, creating business plans, and proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce.

Skills and Certifications: Proficiency in consultative sales, ability to work independently and within a matrix organization, and formal sales training (e.g., Challenger Sales, Miller Heiman). Prior awards and flexible schedule are a plus.

Travel

Up to 30% annually for client visits, events, and trade shows.

Compensation

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, DC, HI, IL, MD, MN, NY, RI, WA: $95,560 - $133,750
