Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide proactive service to existing accounts as part of the customer retention strategy, exercising a broad knowledge of the organization's services and products within a team selling environment with regional Account Executives.
  2. Make proactive service calls in person or via telephone to existing accounts, ensuring that yearly sales call targets are met.
  3. Formulate and implement business plans tailored to the needs of individual accounts, addressing current or outstanding administrative client issues such as membership, literature needs, and billing.
  4. Identify new and ancillary product sales opportunities and collaborate with the appropriate Account Executive in a team selling environment.
  5. Represent the company at benefit and enrollment fairs as requested by clients or sales management.
  6. Cultivate and develop strong business relationships with key client decision-makers and other contacts.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of existing and new products/services to provide accurate information to clients.
  8. Complete all administrative tasks promptly, including weekly activity reports, expense reports, and the annual sales plan.
  9. Utilize the sales automation system for inquiries, maintaining current client records and comments, and preparing reports.
Job Specifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience servicing customers and managing accounts, preferably in the employee benefits or Healthcare/Insurance industry, with established broker relationships.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales and service goals, managing numerous accounts both in person and via telephone.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, products, services, and the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to travel locally via car up to 70% of the time.
  • Clean DMV record.
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience with eyewear sales or optical sales.
  • Residence in the Indianapolis, IN, or KY area.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $58,656.00 - $80,743.65, depending on experience and other factors. The package may include bonuses and commissions. For more information about VSP Vision benefits, click here.
